Hamburg (SID) – Basketball Bundesliga club Hamburg Towers is struggling with a corona outbreak. As the club announced on Friday, before leaving for the away game at relegation candidate Jobstairs Gießen 46ers, “several people” tested positive for the virus. All those affected were immediately isolated and are doing well under the circumstances.
The towers are required in Gießen on Saturday evening (8.30 p.m. / MagentaSport), and another PCR test is scheduled for Saturday morning. After 16 games, the Hamburgers are eighth in the BBL table, which would entitle them to the play-offs.
