The cup winner from Munich clearly won on Sunday evening with 92:70 (47:33) at newly promoted MLP Academics Heidelberg. With 19 points, Augustine Rubit was the best pitcher for Bayern, who successfully defended their lead in the table. Bonn’s team coached by Tuomas Iisalo had previously defeated the former series champion Brose Bamberg 95:81 (52:39) and thus achieved their ninth success in their tenth home game.

The outstanding player for the hosts was point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright, who scored 40 points with excellent odds. On the side of Upper Franconia, Christian Sengfelder (18 points) presented himself strongly. With seven wins and ten defeats, Bamberg is falling further and further behind in the battle for the playoff places.

Narrow defeat for Berlin

Master Alba Berlin experienced a disappointment. The capital city lost their home game against the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg by a narrow margin of 75:76 (38:44) and thus suffered their fifth defeat of the season. After a corona outbreak, the albatross still have several catch-up games to catch up with the top group. At Ludwigsburg, Tremmell Darden scored 22 points, including the crucial shot to victory ten seconds before the end.
