“Never say Never!”
That’s what Bastian Schweinsteiger (37) answered in the “Bayern-Insider” on BILD live football boss Christian Falk to his question about a possible return to Bayern.
So will we see “Schweini” back in the Bundesliga soon?
He himself is still very reserved, says in an interview: “Maybe a little later. It’s not attractive to me at the moment. I’m very happy with my life, with my yearly plan. Even if you can decide for yourself, that’s a good feeling. Of course I follow football, I follow Munich very closely. And never say never.”
And further: “I don’t see myself being forced to get back into it anywhere at the moment. But it can change quickly these days.”
And Christian Falk also thinks a return from Schweinsteiger is possible: “He is attached to this club. Oliver Kahn and also Brazzo (Hasan Salihamidzic; Anm.d.Red.) are a good example. They were all gone from the club.”
And Falk continues: “My feeling tells me that Olli Kahn will not do it as long as Rummenigge. And then maybe the next generation will come along: Lahm President, Basti CEO, why not.”
Schweinsteiger played for Bayern for a total of 13 years between 2002 and 2015, appeared in 500 (!) competitive games (68 goals, 100 assists). He celebrated the treble with Bayern in 2013, and also won 7 more championships and 6 DFB Cups.
Not only the Bayern fans would be happy about a return of “Schweini”.
