Then Steffen Baumgart swaps his hat for Neuer’s jersey

FC Bayern Munich gives 1. FC Köln no chance. After the clear defeat, Cologne coach Steffen Baumgart proved to be a fair loser. He leaves the stadium without points, but with a souvenir. Not for the first time.
Et was another Robert Lewandowski show. The FC Bayern Munich striker shot down 1. FC Köln almost single-handedly. The Pole scored three goals in a sovereign 4-0 win and thus answered the victory of the pursuer Dortmund last Friday. The game was decided quickly, the Cologne team was still well served with the result.
Steffen Baumgart must have seen this too. Even Cologne’s coach, who always whips his team along the sidelines in a very emotional way, took things a little easier in the second half. Bayern’s dominance was too great.
Baumgart, who again accompanied the game in a T-shirt, proved to be a fair loser after the final whistle. The 50-year-old congratulated Bayern on their victory and went on a souvenir hunt. Baumgart headed for Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. After a short conversation, Neuer gave the Cologne coach his jersey.
He returned the favor by giving the national goalkeeper his flat cap, which has become his trademark in recent months. The number 72 is printed small on the side, Baumgart’s year of birth.
Baumgart’s flat cap is sold out in the fan shop
A special exchange for newcomers too. The “Gatsby Cap Pin” flat cap (EUR 24.95) has been sold out in the FC fan shop for weeks. The national goalkeeper has now received it first hand. “I’m glad I have her now,” said Neuer. And Baumgart was at least happy about that, despite his team’s deserved defeat. “I’ve wanted a jersey from Manu for a long time,” he said with a smile and explained in the catacombs of the Cologne stadium: “I’m someone who collects stuff like that.”
Baumgart took a special souvenir with him when he won in Berlin last week. After the 3-1 win at Hertha BSC, the Cologne coach sat down on the Berlin bench and waited for Kevin-Prince Boateng. The Berliner came and gave him his jersey.
