REPUBLIK BOBOBOTOH – There was a moment that made Persib Bandung coach Robert Alberts feel sorry for his foster children, David Da Silva.
The incident occurred when Persib won 0-1 over Borneo FC at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Robert highlighted the moment when David Da Silva was declared offside by the referee, even though his position was onside.

At that time Silva got feedback from Bruno Cantanhede.
The Brazilian player ran from the Persib defense area or before entering the opponent’s defense line.
When trying to catch the ball, the assistant referee immediately raised the offside flag. Even though Silva started running from his own area.
After the incident, Silva could only laugh while holding his head.
“David then ran after the ball forward, then it was offside,” said Robert Alberts, quoted from the club’s official website.
Robert claimed to have seen the replay and stated that David Da Silva was onside.
“We’ve seen the replay. I feel sorry for David, he tried (to score) but it was canceled, even though it was clearly not offside. Of course it was a difficult thing for the players,” added the Dutch-blooded coach.

Until his third match with Persib, David Da Silva still hasn’t scored a goal.
This is clearly in the spotlight of many parties, because David Da Silva was brought in by Persib to be a solution to the previously blunt front line.
However, according to Robert, Silva is still struggling to find his best performance.
“David is struggling to achieve his best. He can be an initiator in attack,” said Robert.
In the Borneo FC match, Silva might have scored if the linesman had not raised the flag. That also made Robert disappointed.
“I was disappointed and confused (offside decision). He was standing in the middle of his own area when Bruno was also in front and gave him a pass,” said Robert Alberts.
