This Wednesday, January 19, Águilas Doradas announced five new players who came to reinforce their squad for the 2022 season: ex-Millionaires goalkeeper Christian Vargas, midfielder Felipe Jaramillo, forward Marco Pérez, midfielder Jáder Quiñones and attacker Luis Sandoval.
In addition, the club presented its new Aerosport brand clothing, which replaces Sheffy as technical sponsor. The team will have gold and black as its main uniform, while blue will be the color of the substitute jersey. About Aerosport, it is a brand from Ibagué, Tolima with 38 years of experience in the market.
“We believe that we will give Águilas Doradas a leap in quality with the election of Leonel Álvarez, he has the ability to lead anywhere in the world. His return to Colombian football will be beneficial for everyone,” said Fernando Salazar, the team’s top shareholder and new sports manager.
Leonel Álvarez will be the team’s coach, along with Rubén Bedoya as technical assistant, Les Estéfano Álvarez as second assistant, Robinson Moncada as physical trainer and Peter Vargas as goalkeeper coach.
“I have a demand to reach the top, I am surrounded by champion players. This team wants to return to the important places in the tournament. We are psyched up to have a great tournament and achieve achievements. They have brought us to achieve them. We are not magicians, but we are after the steps to meet the objectives,” said Leonel Álvarez.
Águilas Doradas will start in the I-2022 League this Thursday when they host Atlético Bucaramanga at the Alberto Grisales stadium.
