On the 22nd, players from the Chubu University (Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture) hardball baseball team donated blood on a university campus to help solve the shortage of blood for transfusion due to the spread of the new corona infection. More than 70 people will cooperate in the afternoon.

According to the Aichi Red Cross Blood Center (Seto City), the group blood donation that companies have continued to contribute to society has decreased due to the corona. A student from Chubu University who visited the center for practical training learned that there were cases where surgery could not be performed due to lack of blood, and the group blood donation by the baseball club was realized.

Tomowa Fujisawa (21), the deputy captain who finished donating blood, said, “I am glad that I can help people in need by donating blood. I am glad that I was able to contribute to society in this way.”
