It was one of the excitements of the first half of the season in the Bundesliga: At the top game between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich referee Felix Zwayer came into focus. BVB felt disadvantaged in several scenes.
Jude Bellingham let himself be carried away to some statements about Zwayer after the game, for which the player from Borussia Dortmund was fined. Zwayer has not been seen in the Bundesliga since the game. Now the referee boss clarifies the reasons.

Since then, things have become quiet around the 40-year-old. Referee boss Lutz Michael Fröhlich explains why Zwayer has not whistled a game for over a month. “Felix Zwayer took a vacation for himself after his last international game,” said Fröhlich on “Bild-TV”. “He’s not whistling any games at the moment. That is determined by himself, ”he continues.
Zwayer has BVB ban
When Zwayer will return to the football stage, Fröhlich left it open. It was recently announced that Zwayer would not whistle any games with BVB participation for the time being – his self-chosen break was not yet known.
