“Both Brasilia and Recife are incredible cities with a lot to offer in competition and cultural aspects. CBB and FIBA are very excited to bring this level of competition to these cities, their fans and communities to celebrate our magical game” commented Carlos Alves, Executive Director of FIBA in a press release.
The group stage will be played in both cities, while the quarterfinals, semifinals and definition will be played in Recife. In turn, it was confirmed that the draw for the groups will take place in March.
In the 2022 edition, the following will compete: Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, the United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and the Virgin Islands.
