Bundesliga: Bochum loses against Mainz 0:1, VfL is fighting for bankruptcy! – Bundesliga

This bankruptcy is really upsetting all Bochum fans!

Bochum is fighting against Mainz for a 1-0 defeat despite a mega chance to take the lead.

▶ 31 minutes: 05 defender Bell hits Bochum’s Polter in the penalty area on the heel, referee Willenborg points to the point. Then strikers Polter and Pantovic argue about who should shoot the penalty.

The foul-mouthed man stepped in himself – and conceded the penalty kick to 05-keeper Zentner! A very weak elf.

Polter at Sky: “I apologize for the penalty. But what annoys me the most is the defeat”, and promises: “Then Milos (Pantovic, ed.) can shoot the next one!”

Pantovic forgiving: “I’m not angry about the 911, we’re a team.”

Before that, a lot of midfield banter, many duels, more fight than football in the first half in front of 1000 spectators in Mainz.

Then Mainz comes out of the break with power: First, youngster Burkardt fails because of Riemann (47′), then he provides the assist for St. Juste – and the fastest Bundesliga player scores to make it 1-0 (48′).

Mainz unpredictable: The 05er have more chances in two minutes in the second half than in the entire first half. St. Juste’s first goal in his first game since his shoulder injury three months ago is already the 14th different goalscorer for Mainz this season.

Annoying, however, for Mainz: Coach Svensson gets the fourth yellow card from Willenborg after Polter fouls St. Juste – the coach is thus suspended for the next league game. A novelty: Svensson is the first yellow-banned coach in the league.

Part 1 of the Bochum week succeeded for the Mainz team! On Tuesday (8.45 p.m.) Mainz will then meet in Bochum in the DFB Cup round of 16.

Good for the nerves of all Bochum fans: In a possible penalty shoot-out, Pantovic and Polter can both play.
