After more than 2 years without playing, this afternoon, Chandler Parsons he has announced his retirement of the NBA and professional basketball, leaving behind a career of 9 seasons in the best basketball of the world.
It was through a long message through a post on Instagram, that the now former player announced his goodbye to the staves, where he thanked the support received by family, friends and fans.
“All my life all I wanted was to be an NBA player. I didn’t even realize it, I didn’t even think about what that entailed, I just wanted to compete and play basketball at the highest level. I can proudly say that I did. It wasn’t perfect, but I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped me achieve my dreams,” she wrote.

A couple of years ago, while I was part of the Atlanta Hawks, last team for which he played, Parsons, was the vehicle in which he was traveling was hit by a drunk driver, who put his life in danger, suffering head trauma, a herniated disc and labral damage.

Chandler Parsons was selected 38th in the second round of the Draft de 2011 for the Houston Rockets where he spent his first 3 years, and then went on to Dallas Mavericks, playing 2 years, before signing for 3 seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.
In 2019 he was transferred to the Atlanta Hawks, where he could only see action in 5 games, before suffering the terrible accident that threatened his life.

His best year in the NBA was with the Rockets, in his third season, in which he averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.2 steals, shooting with an efficiency of 38.5 percent on triples.
