The Mexican capital will host the next State Selective of Badminton, which will serve to form the Mexican delegation that will participate in the process towards the Conade National Games 2022.
This was announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the General Directorate of Physical Culture and Sports, in coordination with the ABadminton Association of the State of Mexico.
The venue that will receive the state event will be the Toluca Club and the appointment is next January 22 and 23, the competitions are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The state selection of badminton could have 60 participants
Around 60 players from Club Toluca, Club Berimbau, Badminton Center, Club Cuicacalli, Metepec and the Training Centers that operate in Ciudad Deportiva Edoméx and Deportivo Agustín Millán Viveros are expected to participate in this sporting event.
The athletes will seek to occupy the first places in each category and branch, with the aim of being part of the Mexican delegation that will attend the national selection, this is the last filter to reach the highest national sports fair.
For this occasion, the categories called are: Sub 15, Sub 17 and Sub 19, in the men’s and women’s branches, who will face each other in the individual modality and the competition system will be based on the number of registered.
It is important to point out that as part of the sanitary measures, the facilities where the competition will take place will be constantly sanitized, in addition, entry will be limited and coaches and athletes who present the Covid-19 antigen test will have access, showing the certificate of negative.
