Mario Balotelli returns to the Italian national team after almost four years of absence. Changes within Super Mario make a pangling some staff The Azzurri.
Balotelli received a call-up to the Italian national team earlier this week. He was included in the coach The national team, Roberto Mancini, during a training camp at Coverciano.
This is Balotelli’s first call-up to the national team after the last time he was in Italy’s uniform in July 2018. The 31-year-old striker had experienced ups and downs in his career that made him not ogled into the Italian national team.
Mario Balotelli’s performance began to improve when he joined Turkish club Adana Demirspor earlier this season. He was able to score nine goals and five assists from 21 appearances, to bring him back to the national team call.
Balotelli’s return to the Italian national team surprised some. One of them is Attilio Lombardo who served as assistant coach Roberto Mancini.
Lombardo assesses Balotelli has changed a lot, to make himself and several other staff in the Italian national team pangling. Super Mario admittedly in much better shape than before.
“He’s lost weight, I don’t know if it’s because he has COVID-19 or what. I haven’t seen him in a long time, because it’s more difficult to track his progress now that he’s playing abroad,” said Lombardo, quoted from Football Italia.

“To be honest I didn’t expect to see him in such good shape. It was a pleasant surprise,” he said.
Mario Balotelli now has the task of bringing the Italian national team to the 2022 World Cup. Jorginho cs failed to qualify directly for Qatar and had to undergo the play-off round.
