Comeback night in the NBA

Miami and Portland celebrate the return of two of their most important players. After overcoming injuries, Bam Adebayo and CJ McCollum returned to action to play a role in their teams’ wins.

In Miami, after 6 weeks out with a thumb injury, Bam Adebayo returned as the Heat’s starter and the impact was immediately felt. In 32 minutes he collaborated with 14 points, 9 rebounds, the Heat defeated the Raptors 104-99. With the return of Adebayo, the core of Miami is back, Jimmy Butler shone with a triple-double, Tyler Herro shone, and the Heat are nowhere near snatching first place in the East from Chicago.

The Blazers also received good news as after overcoming a serious problem with one of his lungs and missing 17 games, CJ McCollum returned to Portland and had a good part in the victory over Orlando. McCollum still plays with a minute restriction, but in 28 minutes he contributed 16 points. The return was applauded by his coach Chauncey Billups, who noted that it was as if he had never left.
