Concerns about Haaland: Doctors are still doing the cruciate ligament test on the pitch

BVB star Erling Haaland had to be replaced injured in the game in TSG Hoffenheim. The 21-year-old top striker had previously been treated for several minutes on his right knee.

The BVB doctors also did the so-called drawer test. This is done to detect a possible cruciate ligament tear. The knee is bent, the doctor grasps the patient’s lower leg with both hands and at the same time places the index fingers in the hollow of the knee.

If the lower leg can be moved like a drawer, this indicates a cruciate ligament tear.

The doctors apparently ruled out such a thing. After the treatment, Haaland was initially able to continue playing until he was finally substituted in the second half.

Borussia Dortmund is happy about the Bundesliga break

A diagnosis was initially pending, and coach Marco Rose did not yet know any details. “We have to investigate that. I really can’t say anything yet,” said Rose in the subsequent press conference.

The upcoming unusual Bundesliga break will come at just the right time for Dortmund and Haaland.

“The break is actually not that inconvenient for us. That means that we can treat a few guys, but actually have training time,” said Rose.
