After the entry posse in Australia, Novak Djokovic is back in his native Serbia. The tennis world star does not experience quiet days. There are more problems for the “Djoker”.
Before the start of the Australian Open, there was a huge media hype about the arrival of world-class tennis player Novak Djokovic. “Nole” finally had to leave the country because he was not vaccinated against Corona. However, the Australia problem is still not completely over. The Serbian media portals “Kurir” and “Novosti” write that a criminal complaint has been filed against unknown persons in connection with Djokovic. The reason for this is a PCR test that the 34-year-old presented in Australia. This is said to have been fake.

Milovan Suvakov, the former Serbian Minister of Education, is now working as a researcher in the US and has analyzed the documents in detail. He comes to the conclusion that something cannot be right with the test result. According to media reports, this evaluation should serve as the basis for the criminal complaint. There is no official confirmation on this yet.
Tennis: French Open out for Novak Djokovic?
The prospects for the Serb are also bleak in terms of sport. Like the Australian Open, he could also miss the French Open (May 22 to June 5) because he is reluctant to get a corona vaccination. Theoretically, Djokovic would be eligible to take part in the tournament because he tested positive for Corona on December 16 and therefore received a certificate of recovery in France that is valid for six months.

However, the French government is said to be planning to shorten the validity to four months. Djokovic would then only have a valid certificate until mid-April. In order to be able to take part in the French Open, he would either have to be vaccinated after all or catch the virus a third time between mid-February and early May.

Another bad news for the Serb is that he will definitely lose the top spot in the world tennis rankings. This position will be taken over by Russian Daniil Medvedev. However, the replacement will not take place until the end of February, because Djokovic will only then be deducted from the world ranking points for his triumph at the Australian Open last year.
