January 23, 2022
The last races before the Olympics await biathletes at the World Cup in Anterselva, Italy. At the same time, the European Junior Championships in Pokljuka culminate.
We will not find a name in the men’s relay team today Michal Krčmář. His absence is explained by the coach Ales Ligaun: “Carlos rode the relays well. Therefore, we want to test it on the first section, where it is necessary to maintain contact. Bimbo has ridden here the two longest races a biathlete can ride. In addition, at high altitude. At the same time, we would like to try the Bun in the last relay before the Olympics. “
Without the innkeeper, the Czechs rode the relay in Anterselva last year and did not succeed at all. Finisher Jakub Štvtecký was withdrawn when he was in 19th place.
Defending fifth place will be in the women’s mass start Markéta Davidová. Together with her, he will set off on the 12.5 km long track as well Jessica Jislová. She finished her first mass start in Le Grand-Bornand fifth.
There are fighter races at the European Junior Championships in Pokljuce, which will be a great opportunity for the sprint winners Jonas Marecek. You can read the interview with the recent junior European champion here.
