To the surprise of many, the Cavaliers are back in contention. Without much noise and with effective basketball, the Cleveland team is one of the great sensations of this season and they largely owe it to a young man who has become the Cavs’ new hope: Darius Garland.
NBA Player of the Week
Garland’s thing is to draw attention, his performances in recent days have put him in the sights of the entire league, to the point of being recognized as Player of the Week in the East, sharing the honor with Devin Booker, who he did the same in the West with the Suns.
Garland had averages of 20.5 points, 6 rebounds and 12.8 assists in the last week, the Cavs went 4-0 and are fully involved in the fight for the first four in the conference.

With everything to the NBA All-Star Game
Garland put on another display of power Monday afternoon when the Cavs defeated the Nets for their fifth straight victory and moved to a record of 27 wins and 18 losses, ranking fourth in the East. The third-year NBA youngster scored 22 points and dished out 12 assists. With the All-Star Game getting closer, the fans have turned to try to make Garland a starter, in the last vote count, the Cavs guard was ninth among guards, but in Cleveland they trust that their performances make him worthy of a place among the stars of the East, which would also be a plus for the city that after many years will once again host an All-Star Game.
Be sure to follow Darius Garland, one of the great revelations of this campaign and one of the young people who will give people something to talk about.
