Future with the police
This picture was given to the specialist in self-defense, police sports club in Königsbrunn”>Johannes Daxbacher. It was painted by 7-year-old Alara. You can see the student herself and her trainer – Johannes Daxbacher. In addition, Alara has written characteristics that apply to her (nice, cool) as well as her career aspiration: a police officer. From her trainer, we learn that he is also strong and funny, and also the role model for the 7-year-olds.
Alara also writes about why she wants to become a police officer, because the judoka would like to be able to help others later. Her career choice came about because she was trained by her role model, Police Chief Inspector Johannes Daxbacher, at the Königsbrunn Police Sports Club. He is certain: “The girl can only make such a statement because she is in a police sports club and has close contact with police officers.”
The specialist in self-defense should certainly be right. In addition, however, it is generally also a good example of how important police sport is not only for one’s own health, but also for attracting young people to the police and how essential the commitment of colleagues like Johannes Daxbacher is.
Dual career in the police
As part of a dual career, the police offer the ideal opportunity to reconcile top-class sport and a professional career. As a cooperation partner of the German Judo Association (DJB), the police support German athletes in the best possible way and thus help them to achieve top performance.
The Olympic medalists Eduard Trippel and Sebastian Seidl or the multiple Grand Slam medalist Miriam Butkereit are shining examples.
