Didier Moreno was in charge of giving Junior balance in the match against Patriotas, which meant the debut of Juan Cruz Real. The midfielder from Choco explained a bit about the coach’s idea of the game and the role he plays in it.
“It is an idea that we have liked, that we have grasped very quickly, to maintain that intensity, to always go forward and give the ball circulation, play most of the time in the rival field. My role is to be that balance player, and if I’m not the one who plays, anyone, whether it’s Ángel, Giraldo or Homer himself, can bring that balance to the team, “said the player.
The midfielder, who is shaping up to be a starter tomorrow against Nacional, in Medellín, for the second date of the League, highlighted the positive he saw from his teammates in the debut in the domestic tournament.
“I want to highlight the attitude, putting into practice many of the things that we have been working on, beginning to put into shape the idea that the teacher has. For the game against Nacional we have to continue maintaining those things and take advantage of the days of work to correct the mistakes we made”, he commented.
Moreno also spoke of the internal competition he has with Fabián Ángel, Daniel Giraldo and even Homer Martínez himself for the position of central midfielder in the rojiblanco team.
“It’s a nice competition. We are great players, great people, great professionals. You have to give your best so that whoever has to play can do it in the best way”, he analyzed.
“The scheme can change from one game to another, but our idea and intention, which is to go to the front, is not going to change. Beyond the scheme and the men, it is to focus on the idea that we have as a team”, he concluded.
