Dijon in the top 16 of the Champions League

The two French teams involved in the Champions League will be in the top 16. After Strasbourg qualified at the expense of PAOK Salonika, Dijon got their ticket on Friday.

The Burgundians dominated at home the Latvians of Riga (83-79) for the second time after a success obtained at home on January 4 (84-77). Winger Rashard Kelly (20 points) was the offensive leader in a game David Holston’s teammates (6 points, 8 assists) mastered from start to finish, leading throughout. They will face the Germans of Ludwigsburg on Thursday January 27 at home in the opening of the top 16 in a group which also includes Galatasaray (TUR) and Hapoel Holon (ISR).

Strasbourg will travel to Vilnius (LIT) on Wednesday 26 and will also have Tenerife (ESP) and Szombathely (HON) on the programme. The top two from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.
