Dorante returns as the leader of the Marlins FCL affiliate after leaving a 27-28 mark in 2021. In turn, the Venezuelan, who worked with the organization between 2002-07, served as coach of the Yankees organization. from New York, prior to his return to Miami in 2021.
In his record as a coach in the Minors he has two Appalachian League Manager of the Year awards (2017 and 2019), where he guided the Pulaski River Turtles to the league championship in 2017.
For his part, Nelson Prada; who currently serves as the Cardinals quality control coach at the LVBP; He will return to the Marlins’ DSL branch for a second season, his first as a manager, after serving as a hitting coach last year.
Likewise, Daren Brown will be the manager of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A) replacing the also Venezuelan Alfredo Pedrique; who will become the coach of the antechamber of the big team.
