Emma Raducanu: Stalker harasses tennis teen – sports mix

This is just spooky…

According to English media reports, tennis prodigy Emma Raducanu (19) has a stalker.

He came to her house several times, left her scary messages, stole her father’s shoe and on top of that is completely unaware of any wrongdoing. At least a court found him guilty.

The disturbing stalker story of 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu.

The married stalker began dating November 23 with flowers and a scary message. He wrote: “Nothing to say but you deserve love”.

Below that he put his signature and wrote the names of his wife and dog next to it. Raducanu’s parents wondered about this, but the stalker claimed he was a courier who only delivered gifts from others.

Continuing on December 2nd, Emma received another shocking card in her mailbox. There the pursuer traced a path he had walked.

He noted: “Walked 23 miles for you”.

Just two days later, on December 4th, the stalker showed up again. He brought fairy lights and decorated a tree in the garden with them. He slipped the remaining strings of lights and batteries into the mailbox before realizing the front door was open.

Unbelievable: He then stole one of her father’s shoes, thinking it was from Raducanu. Her father saw him on the surveillance camera, followed him in the car and called the police. After the stalker was arrested, he told police that he stole the shoe because he wanted a souvenir from Emma.

On Thursday, the prosecutor was found guilty by the district court. His sentence will be determined next month. The stalker was forbidden from contacting Emma Raducanu or her parents. Also, he is not allowed to visit the street where they live. The pursuer himself stated that he had no idea that he was harassing her.

Speaking to police about the incident, Raducanu said: “Since all this happened, I feel very scared. I feel like my freedom has been taken away from me. I keep looking over my shoulder.”

And further: “I don’t feel safe in my own house. I want to move to a new house with better security because I’m afraid he might come back since he knows where my house is.”

Raducanu’s tennis star rose in September. There she won the US Open as a qualifier (non-seeded player). Before that, she reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon.

At the Australian Open, she was eliminated in the second round by 4: 6, 6: 4 and 3: 6 against Danka Kovinić (27).

Raducanu is to be wished that the stalker stays away from her from now on.
