The Entre Ríos Division began with three exciting games that were decided at the end. Victories for Racing de Gualeguaychú, BH de Gualeguay and Olimpia de Paraná, all three at home.

RACING DE GUALEGUAYCHÚ IMPOSED THE BANKING CENTER OF GUALEGUAY AS A LOCAL

On the opening date of the Federal League, Racing Club de Gualeguaychú stood out on the scoreboard against Centro Bancario de Gualeguay, finishing the match 4 points up (59-55). Juan Cruz Rinaldi (4) stood out as a local scorer with 16 points to his name while in the Gualeyo team Agustín Silva (8) left 12 points on his team’s scoreboard.

Tomás Leuze was in charge of opening the first two points of the season after taking the rebound under the rim to shore up a partial (8 – 0), a score that forced DT Román Núñez to request time-out to adjust his team. Although Fernando Salazar broke the drought behind the 6.75 line, the host did not give up, recovering the ball several times, making quick runs and being precise from the three-point line to close the first quarter (16 – 7).

In the second segment the first points were slow in coming, more than 4 minutes of the clock were consumed for Juan Cruz Rinaldi to cut the losing streak of both teams with a triple. Banking continued without finding the course, he made several mistakes and once again the Gualeguay DT tried to wake up his team by requesting time out, then he moved the bank until the attempts to discount paid off thanks to Leandro Gerez, Fernando Salazar and Agustin Silva, in this way the green gualeyo managed to narrow the gap to 10 points.

Upon returning from the long break, the last champion of the Provincial League alternated the stage, had the experience Leandro Gerez to reduce the competitive advantage and adjusted the defense to forge the comeback that placed them with the minimum difference. On the other hand, the host’s board was closed, he did not convert until the middle of the quarter, but those led by Diego Lifschitz managed to take off with the successes of Cristian Linares, Alejo Paoloni and Rinaldi to finish 39-36.

In the last chapter the parity continued, driver Luciano Tantos took the rebound of his three-point shot and converted to tie again 46-46, then with a steal from “Lucho” in the front row he went ahead for the first time in the game. and the match became much more interesting and fast-paced. At the end, Racing asserted its locality and was better to keep the first victory of the tournament by 59-55.

The fourth before going to rest ended up winning BH by 3 points with a partial of 46-43.

After halftime, the DTs of the green BH adjusted some ranks, with Facundo González, Fillol, Aby and Echeverria to start with a good game and stretch the difference up to 8 points, but Novello and Cia. forced purslane under the rim and did damage to shrink the board by turning it upside down with 3 minutes to go and take the lead by the minimum (55/56). With good runs, those from Gualeguaychú managed to have a difference of 3 points, but towards the end BH ran the field with Facu González (scorer) and Gutiérrez to finish the fourth in a close 57/58 favorable to the Neptunes.

The last quarter began with a strong encouragement from all the BH green bias and it is known that this makes them take out the claw and the green heart. They went 2 minutes from hoop to hoop without converting both teams, but a new run by Facundo González put the local team in front of the scoreboard, motivated by the chant and the encouragement received, again Facu González and Carrizo Valentín converted from 6.25 to get Apparently comfortable advantage since the tricolor fought until the end to take home the victory, which BH prevented them with a heart-stopping finish of 75 to 73, leaving the 2 points of the game for Verde BH.

ADJUSTED TRIUMPH OF OLIMPIA IN THE PREMIERE

The 2022 Federal League began and Olimpia debuted with the right foot in the “División Entre Ríos” after beating Ferro de Concordia 74-73, at the Humberto Pietranera stadium, behind Nicolás Agasse‘s 21 points. In the visitor, Joaquín Obregón scored 24.

The start of the match both casts were hesitant, typical of a debut, and this was reflected in the scoreboard in the first three minutes with a 6-5 in favor of the host. Agasse took the post and led the azulgrana with medium and long-distance shots, allowing him to make a gap in the electronics (15-8), although Ferro was able to react thanks to Obregón, who was intractable with 11 goals in the boy, to cut the distance. Olimpia took the partial 21-18.

The visit quickly equalized and the match became even at the beginning of the second segment, somewhat erratic and with good defenses in the passage. Through Tomás Botta and Valentín Sánchez, with two bombs, Olimpia was ahead by eight units on the scoreboard (30-22) and, from then on, the Expreso woke up, lowered the host’s scoring and closed the gap, remaining only three goals (34-31). On a blow-by-blow basis, CAO managed to close better and went into the long break, winning 39-33.

The tone of the duel in the complement did not change too much, starting goal by goal. Emiliano Lipreri led the visit with five consecutive points and Ruiz Moreno did the same in the local cast, maintaining a margin of seven points. Obregón nailed a triple and it seemed that Ferro would reduce even more, but none of that happened: Schunk answered and Ruiz Moreno again to get a maximum eleven (54-43). Changing, like all the development, those led by Martín Segovia felt the slap, left the host without scoring and reacted with a partial 9-0 to get within shot of equality (54-52). Olimpia did not allow their rival to take the lead, a triple by Agasse, a run by Ruiz Moreno and a difference of six to lower the curtain in the third period (61-54).

Bomb by bomb, that’s how the final room started. Olimpia maintained a gap of ten points; however, after a timeout for Segovia, Ferro adjusted his defense and found the spaces and comfortable shots to hurt his opponent, having Ignacio Claris as the main weapon to score a resounding 10-0 and equalize everything (68-68). The nervousness began to be noticed and with it, the unforced losses that allowed the visit to gain more confidence and stay in the blow by blow. In an open and exciting ending, Facundo Carulla converted from the line and gave CAO the slightest advantage, with Ferro having the last word, but Gustavo Agasse’s men defended well and celebrated in front of their people.
