Christian Eriksen (29) is about to make his comeback!
As “The Athletic” reports, the Dane has found a new club. The playmaker is close to a move to Premier League side Brentford.
First, Eriksen signs a contract until the end of the season with an option for another year.
Last hurdle: the medical check. Eriksen’s health is being closely examined following his cardiac arrest in the 1-0 European Championship match against Finland last June. The English Football Association FA and the Premier League itself still have to approve the deal.
Eriksen was still under contract at Inter Milan until last month. However, Milan canceled the contract to allow Eriksen a free transfer as the international was no longer allowed to play in Italy with his defibrillator in place.
Most recently, Eriksen kept fit at his former club Odense BK. Now the move to promoted Brentford. Eriksen knows the Premier League very well. He already played for Tottenham from 2013 to 2020 and played a total of 226 games in the English top league.
