Erling Haaland’s statement makes Borussia Dortmund nervous

Borussia Dortmund boss Michael Zorc said he was surprised to hear Erling Haaland‘s comments about his future.

Haaland, 22, has two more years on his contract at Signal Iduna Park. However, his £66m release clause in his contract will be active when he enters the transfer market next summer.

Haaland’s comments that he felt “pressure” at Dortmund made Zorc feel the need to provide clarification.

“Erling’s statement surprised me a little,” Zorc told Kicker.

“There is currently no deadline, no deadline, and there hasn’t even been any discussion yet [mengenai transfer potensial Haaland],” continued the club officials.

“However, we want and must have talks in certain situations so that everything is clear, understandable and only remains [sikap] professional,” he said.
