Johan Roijakkers, former coach of BG Göttingen, is now training in the first Italian division: As the bottom of the table Openjobmetis Varese announced on social media, the 41-year-old Dutchman will succeed Adriano Vertemati – Varese had recently left the former Co -Trainer of FC Bayern Munich separated.

Roijakkers, who trained the violets for eight years and led them from Pro A to the Bundesliga, was fired from Brose Bamberg some time ago. The Dutchman had coached Brose since the beginning of the 2020/21 BBL season. Roijakkers has a lot of work to do in Varese – the team has lost the last four games and has a season record of three wins and ten defeats.
