Farewell to Renato Cecchetto, voice of Shrek

On January 23, 2022, the actor and voice actor passed away at the age of 70 Renato Cecchetto.
Movie fans will remember him as a voice of John Candy in Uncle Buck and I, but his work in the field of animation is most remembered. He was, among others, the voice of the ogre Shrek, of Svicolone, of Suppaman in the first edition of Dr. Slump e Arale, the yeti in Monsters & Co, the pig Hamm in Toy Story, Cleveland in I Griffin. It was the Italian equivalent of John Ratzenberger, voice actor-fetish of the Pixar, of which he dubbed almost all the characters in Italian.
