FC Bayern: Manuel Neuer dusts off Cologne clearer Meré before Mexico change – Bundesliga”>Steffen Baumgart‘s cap
Manuel Neuer easily won 4-0 in Cologne with FC Bayern. After the final whistle, the keeper also secured the cap from FC coach Baumgart.
Curious “jersey swap”: Manuel Neuer swapped his jersey for the cap of Effzeh coach Steffen Baumgart after FC Bayern Munich’s win at 1. FC Köln.
“The cap is legendary, everyone would like to have it. I’m glad I have it now,” said Neuer about his special trophy after Bayern’s 4-0 win in Cologne. “I think he’s happy too, because he came up with the idea.”
Baumgart explained: “I’ve wanted a jersey from Manu for a very, very long time. And he asked me about the hat. It was just right.” And Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann added with a wink: “By the way, suits him well too, Manu.”
Baumgart had already shown his fondness for jerseys last week when he got hold of Kevin-Prince Boateng’s shirt after the game at Hertha BSC (3-1). In return for his work clothes, Neuer secured Baumgart’s coveted cap, which is currently sold out in the Cologne fan shop.
“Unfortunately I couldn’t swap shirts with him when he was playing for Hansa Rostock. I was a little too young then. Nobody wanted to swap shirts with the second goalkeeper,” said Neuer.
FC Bayern: Neuer remains clean on comeback
The national keeper celebrated his comeback after Corona quarantine after missing the start of the second half of the season against Borussia Mönchengladbach (1: 2).
Against Cologne, Neuer kept his box clean for the sixth time this season.
