Sprint fun at Bayern training.
On Thursday, the pros ran a race, using a light barrier to measure the 20-meter times. But before the starting signal there was an animal alarm on Säbener Straße…
A fox had strayed onto the training ground. At first he padded around cautiously before he spotted the pros just a few yards away and sped away across the pitch.

Then the players started. Thomas Müller (32) demonstrated it to his colleagues. His 2.22 seconds was a long best time. In the end, the ambitious Joshua Kimmich (26) overtook him in 2.21 seconds (equivalent to a speed of 32.58 km/h).
Müller joked: “Ten more runs Josh, then you’ll be under 2.10!” Among the best: Niklas Süle (26), Dayot Upamecano (23) and Tanguy Nianzou (19). Alphonso Davies (21/missed due to heart muscle inflammation) is usually the fastest in Bayern.
In the sprint duel against the fox, however, no Bayern star would have had a chance. Foxes can run up to 50 km/h. Jeremiah St. Juste (Mainz) set the top pace in the Bundesliga this season at 36.63 km/h – ahead of Davies at 36.37 km/h.
