Niklas Süle should actually be the future chief of defense at Bayern Munich. The decision has now been made in the negotiations for a new contract. Süle will leave the master, although he had an improved offer.
Dhe FC Bayern loses a German international. Defender Niklas Süle will leave the record champions after the end of this season. This is reported by BILD.
The 26-year-old’s contract ends on June 30. Accordingly, Munich will not receive any transfer fee. Among other things, FC Barcelona is said to be interested in Süle, but Süle is said to be flirting with a move to the Premier League. Chelsea is considered a possible new club for the professional, and Newcastle United are also under discussion.
After David Alaba, who joined Real Madrid last summer, Süle is another defensive player leaving Bayern on a free transfer. Süle moved from TSG Hoffenheim to Munich in 2017. It is said that he recently had high salary requirements. According to BILD, Süle informed the Bayern bosses a few weeks ago that he would not be extended.
Zakaria a candidate for Bayern
There were recently parallels to Alaba: Bayern had also negotiated with the Austrian for a long time and set a deadline. In the end, there was no agreement between the club and the player because of the player’s salary demands. Jérôme Boateng and Javi Martinez were also transferred on a free transfer. Within twelve months, Bayern have lost four defenders of their triple eleven.
“We made Niklas Süle an offer. Now it’s up to him to accept it or not,” club president Herbert Hainer said on Sky last weekend. “Of course it has to be within a certain time frame, because then we have to position ourselves accordingly. I don’t know the exact date now, but it will certainly be in the foreseeable future that he will confess or say what his wishes are. And then we will talk to him.”
Süle is said to have been surprised by these statements. The defender completed over 150 competitive games for Bayern. The club is said to have recently offered him a greatly improved annual salary of around ten million euros.
According to reports, the candidates for Suele’s successor include Andreas Christensen and Toni Rüdiger from FC Chelsea and Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mönchengladbach. They are available for free next summer – like Süle.
