“Fifteen million euros: Wolfsburg reaches agreement on the sale of Weghorst”

Wout Weghorst has received his transfer. VfL Wolfsburg has reached an agreement with Burnley about the striker, which should cost around fifteen million euros.

That report Fabrizio Romano and The Daily Mail. Weghorst himself has already settled with Burnley and so it seems that the tall striker will be a player of the number twenty in the Premier League before the end of the transfer window. The last details are being finalized at the moment.

Technical director Jörg Schmadtke said earlier this week that he was ‘surprised’ that no club had registered for Weghorst. “It’s surprising for someone who regularly scores goals in the Bundesliga and has publicly announced that he is open to a new adventure,” he said. Schmadtke probably threw up a smoke screen, because in the background Wolfsburg was full of negotiations with Burnley.

In the summer of 2018, Weghorst made the switch from AZ to Wolfsburg for more than ten million euros. In Germany, he was undisputed from the first moment, scoring a total of 59 Bundesliga goals.
