In Armstrong, San Isidro once again had personality to prevail with an overwhelming pace. They beat Deportivo Norte and grow more and more in the North Conference. Thursday at the “Nest”.
For the seventh date of the Regular Phase of the Northern Conference, San Isidro won the fifth victory in a row (third of 2022) by becoming very strong in Armstrong to leave Deportivo Norte on the road, defeating him 90 to 79.
This triumph meant the sixth of this instance, stretching the record to 6-1 that continues to raise it in the positions of its group. But to achieve that, he had not started well on Sunday night in the province of Santa Fe.
Without being able to find solidity in defense, the first quarter was complicated for San Isidro because Norte became strong at the back and with several hands with a goal in offense, they managed to take a 10 advantage. Things changed quickly in the second quarter. With less than 5 minutes left in that quarter, the Falcons got tougher at the back and took the game to their advantage: run. With a Stucky double just under the rim, he shortened to one (28/27) to force Norte to ask for a minute and order his team. Red’s momentum continued, stealing Cuesta’s pass line and a comfortable layup to escape 40-32 with 1:50 left in the first half. The partial was from “Santo” 32 to 10 changing the image resoundingly.
The supremacy of the cast of our city continued in the third. Oberto gradually became a figure accompanied by Ignacio Cuesta, who gave him the rhythm that characterizes red.
From being 20 below, the locals went out to play it all for the whole. He reduced the deficit to 7 with a long way to go (6:53 to close) making Beltramo jump off the bench to call time-out. That tactical brake gave him results, on the return a bomb from Montero and a timely double from Assum gave him peace of mind again.
From there, San Isidro handled the tickets. He never skimped on effort not to give up any ball, he always loaded the rebound and that impetus served him to settle the game.
The continuity of the Argentine League for the red team will be on Thursday as a local, receiving Estudiantes de Tucumán from 9:30 p.m.
