KOMPAS.com – Finally Persija Jakarta has a representative in the Indonesian national team after they did not contribute to the 2020 AFF Cup.
In the 2020 AFF Cup, not a single Persija Jakarta player was involved in the struggle of the Indonesian national team.
It was the first time since the 1998 edition of the AFF Cup that the Kemayoran Tigers did not send players to the Garuda squad.
Andritany Ardhiayasa and Riko Simanjuntak are the last two Persija players to enter the national team. It was for the 2018 AFF Cup.
Persija Jakarta actually has one representative in the Indonesian national team at the 2020 AFF Cup, namely Ryuji Utomo.

However, at that time, Ryuji Utomo’s status was as a player with Malaysian club Penang FC. He was borrowed from Persija.

The 26-year-old centre-back suffered an injury and was eventually withdrawn.
After zero contribution to the 2020 AFF Cup, Persija players finally got a call to the Indonesian national team. This time for the FIFA Matchday agenda.
The player in question is Syahrian Abhimanyu, who plays as a midfielder.

Abi – Syahrian Abimanyu’s nickname – was actually brought by Shin Tae-yong to the 2020 AFF Cup, but at that time he was still defending Johor Darul Ta’zim.
Now, Abhimanyu has moved to the capital after Persija redeemed the player from the elite Malaysian club.
Syahrian Abhimanyu actually only joined the team on Friday (14/1/2022).
Not yet had time to debut with Persija, he had to leave the team temporarily on Wednesday (19/1/2022).
Abi admits that he has bad feelings, but for the sake of his country’s duty, he is ready to join the Indonesian national team.
