It seems like an eternity ago that Francky Dury (64) was fired from Zulte Waregem. His twenty-year life’s work abruptly ended. The question remains when and especially whether he will start working somewhere.

He previously indicated that his career as a trainer could be over, but in The Newspaper of West Flanders he now says that if he had wanted to, he could have started working as a coach right now.

“Yes, I have already received a question from abroad”, Dury says mysteriously in the weekly. “A surprising question, but I don’t want to go into it further. January is not an obvious month to get into something.”

Eerder liet hij al uitschijnen dat zijn carrière als trainer er wel eens zou kunnen opzitten, maar in De Krant van West-Vlaanderen vertelt hij nu dat als hij gewild had hij op dit moment alweer aan de slag had kunnen zijn als coach.

“Ja, ik heb al een vraag gekregen, uit het buitenland”, doet Dury geheimzinnig in het weekblad. “Een verrassende vraag, maar ik wil daar niet verder op ingaan. Januari is geen evidente maand om ergens in te stappen.”
