Gebbia, co-founder of AirBNB, enters the Spurs as an investor

The Spurs receive new investors in their midst. The NBA“>San Antonio franchise has presented three collaborations with the franchise, which is going through moments of adjustment after having the most important legacy of this century in the NBA. In addition to the Sixth Street fund and Michael Dell, owner of the well-known computer company that bears his surname, Spurs Sports & Entertainment has this week introduced Joe Gebbia as one of its new associates. This means uniting AirBNB, the real estate giant he co-founded with Brian Chesky and Nathan Blecharczyk, with the NBA.

It is a strategic alliance that most franchises seek. One of the last to give them up has been Shaquille O’Neal in the Sacramento Kings, who curiously was one of the rivals of his victorious Lakers at the beginning of the millennium.

The Board of Directors of the League has approved this triple movement. Peter Holt will continue as owner at all levels, a position he has held for almost thirty years since he wanted to bet on keeping the Spurs in Texas together with the capital he contributed in the company of his wife, Julianna, and whose value has multiplied.
