Twelve or fourteen matches from the finish, next to Stockel engaged in an impossible mission, PAC Buzet, Gosselies and RCS Brainois are on the job to keep a future in the national series.
In a D3-A series with 15 teams, only the 15th and 14th are direct descendants, the 13th being a play-off. But it would take two French-speaking descendants of national 1 for the loser of this test match to be pushed into the first provincial. Unlikely, it seems at this stage! The fate of FC Stockel (3 points), the only team in the national series with Koersel on the Dutch-speaking side to have not yet won a match this season seems sealed.
Behind the scenes, a mediation having failed at the end of 2021, the fight is still raging between two clans of administrators, the one led by Didier Deweerdt impatiently awaiting the interim delivery of a judgment for so-called faulty management, called to fall before the first days of February at the latest.
“The coach Amaury Toussaint (ex-Waterloo) and some reinforcements are on standby if the club changes its presidency. If it remains as it is, I imagine that we will already be preparing for the next exercise since I see that four or five U19s (and no goalkeeper from the starting core A) were on the sheet during the last friendly.
PAC Buzet (10), Gosselies (10 points, but two games less), RCS Brainois (15) and J.Tamines (18) therefore want at all costs to avoid the second descending seat for sure.
“We play well between the two rectangles, but it is more complicated when we are in ours or in that of the opponent analyzes the coach Roch Gerard, whose team, PAC Buzet has the highest number of draws (7) in the series. I am counting on Martin Hellas and Lucas Bonomini, too often on the sidelines in the first round to raise the bar in the last twelve matches. My midfield Gregory Descotte, victim of heart problems at the start of the season, seems to be back on track. The reinforcements were made last summer at the start of the championship. So we will have to leave two teams behind us with the current nucleus.”
In Gosselies, there will also be no winter joker(s). “Since the coach Benoit Paulet arrived in autumn, we take points, note the president Francesco Scimeni, inclined to resign the successor on site by Olivier Suray as quickly as possible. It will be hot until the end, but we decided with the staff of the D3 to bring up three “old” of the P3 to give a touch of experience more for the final fight. The offensive flanks Fabrice Caruana, David Passalacqua and Roney Baynon have the mentality to help us stay in the national series.”
