Haaland-Poker: Manchester United probably out of the race – Real Madrid favorite?

For a long time, Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United was considered a possible club for Erling Haaland, but now the Red Devils are said to be out of the race.
The future of Erling Haaland is still completely open, with Manchester United a top club has now apparently dropped out of poker for the goalscorer from Borussia Dortmund.
According to information from ESPN the Red Devils would not expect a great chance of a transfer of the 21-year-old. Instead, Real Madrid is the absolute top favorite for a Haaland commitment.
The United managers therefore do not believe that they can prevail against the royals. The English record champions, who lost the race for the then striker from RB Salzburg against BVB in 2020, are therefore already looking around for alternatives.
The Madrilenians are planning a transfer offensive for the coming season. In addition to Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, whose working paper expires at the end of the season, should also come from PSG on a free transfer.
BVB is still hoping for Haaland to stay
Meanwhile, Dortmund has not yet given up hope of staying. “There are certainly a few more reasons why Erling Haaland is in very good hands at Borussia Dortmund and why we as a club can continue to be a very good option for him,” said future BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl, for example.
Most recently, however, Haaland had caused unrest. According to the Norwegian, those responsible for BVB would push for an early decision. “The club put me under pressure,” he said last Friday after the 5-1 win over Freiburg. He just wanted to “play football”.
Shortly thereafter, Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke vehemently contradicted this. “We can’t wait until May, that’ll make sense to him. As a professional, he has to understand that at some point you’ll talk about the future,” he said.
The media recently mentioned Adam Hlozek from Sparta Prague as a potential successor. However, FC Bayern should also show interest. Another option is reportedly Dusan Vlahovic. The 21-year-old is expected to leave Fiorentina in the winter.
