Today is transfer deadline day again. Feyenoord expects to rent Ramon Hendriks out to a club from the Eredivisie and is working on a rental transfer from Philippe Sandler.
”He had escaped my attention for a while, but it does not surprise me that Feyenoord wants him”, says Sjoerd Moussou in conversation with the General newspaper.“I think he is a great player for the Eredivisie. I can imagine that Feyenoord is looking into that segment. He obviously has no future at Manchester City. He has also been injured a number of times which has not helped. It is a typical opportunity that fits Feyenoord’s situation.”
“If they can do that, they will have strengthened themselves quite a bit. I find that surprising given the financial position at Feyenoord. They are relatively small transfers or rental structures. But still efficient”, continues Mossou. Patrik Wålemark, Cole Bassett and Jorrit Hendrix have already made the switch to de Kuip. Karim Dermane will also report.
Furthermore, the expectations are that it will remain quiet at Feyenoord. “But on that last day, very strange things still happen. Clubs that panic and take a gamble. That’s quite entertaining. There are, of course, many failed January purchases. Then a club necessarily thinks it has to get a striker and then they go through the list. And then end up at number 31.”
