Berrettini lost the first set 4-6, then won the next three (6-2, 7-6, 6-3) and thus guaranteed the passage to the next round. To keep the obvious problems of stomach ache at bay, Berrettini had to resort to a particular drug, which he wanted to “thank” at the end of the meeting with a dedication on the camera: “Imodium thank you!”. On Wednesday, Berrettini will be back on the pitch, hoping that he will be able to leave behind the intestinal problems he suffered in the last few hours. “I didn’t feel good in my stomach – he declared at the end of the match – it was really difficult to play, especially in the third and fourth set. I was playing a great game against Brandon. I told myself I had to fight and do my best and in the end I won. I’m really happy”.
