In two stages, Philadelphia outclasses Miami | NBA

The 76ers started the game badly, however, not scoring a single point during the last six minutes of the first quarter. On the Heat side, it was pivot Omer Yurtseven who struck from the start with 10 points and 5 rebounds in the first quarter, while Tyler Herro brought his usual spark off the bench.

Quickly outdistanced (20-29), the 76ers react during the second quarter, under the impetus in particular of an inspired Tobias Harris (15 points). Despite an unconvincing second quarter (6/17 on shots), the Heat are still ahead at halftime (50-43).

The third quarter saw the “momentum” change sides to side with Philadelphia. Joel Embiid, discreet in the first half, finally enters his match and lets his low post power speak. In the wake of the Cameroonian, the 76ers unfold offensively (32 points at 11/17) and even go ahead in the score at the end of the third quarter thanks to a buzzer shot from Seth Curry.

During the final act, the address of the Heat falters severely (7/22) against the aggressive defense of the 76ers, while Joel Embiid continues his work on the other side of the field. Doc Rivers’ men, in the continuity of the third quarter, again delivered a big offensive performance (34 points at 12/19) and the gap increased slowly but surely. Despite a good first half, the Heat could not resist the awakening of Joel Embiid and the 76ers after the break, and bowed quite logically.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– And 10 for Joel Embiid. The pivot of Philly signed a tenth consecutive game with 30 points scored or more outside: 32 points (12/22), 12 rebounds and 3 assists on the floor of the Heat. After a discreet first half, the “Process” launched the machine after the break and the locals did not recover.

– The Heat betrayed by… its executives : 8 points at 2/11 for Kyle Lowry, 8 points at 1/11 for Jimmy Butler. The two pillars of Miami had all the trouble in the world to weigh on the meeting, and their offensive discretion was greatly felt in the second half, during which the Heat scored only 48 points.

TOPS/FLOPS

Omer Yurtseven. As Bam Adebayo prepares to return, the Turkish pivot continues to make an impression. Always in the good shots in attack, he compiled 22 points (10/12) and 11 rebounds. On the other side, he had a little more difficulty containing Joel Embiid’s awakening in the second half, but his match remained very positive overall.

Le duo Curry/Harris. To the rescue in the first half when the Cameroonian was still breaking in, the two Lieutenants perfectly knew how to put themselves at the service of their leader when Joel Embiid took matters into his own hands in the second half. Through their cuts without the ball and their exterior address, the two men offered solutions to counter the numerous double-takes suffered by Embiid.

⛔️ Duncan Robinson. The “sniper” of the Heat spent a very long and painful evening. Despite several comfortable shooting positions, he failed to punish the 76ers and finished the game 2-pointer at 1/9 on shots, including a chilling 0/8 from behind the arc.
