A few days after the start of League I of Colombian professional football, a news item related to the white team arrived from the city of Manizales and that it is being prepared under the guidance of coach Diego Corredor.
On his Twitter account, journalist Esteban Jaramillo wrote that “Broken relations between Once Caldas and the Caldas government, including the liquor store. The team from today is called ONCE DAF DE LA MONTAÑA. Kenwort will pay for a new striker. “
Immediately and after knowing this fact, which other journalists reaffirmed, it did not take long for the reactions of the fans in the same social network to arrive. Thus they aimed against the current leadership and many shouted in the sky for the possible change of name.
The Manizales target is scheduled to make his debut in the League for next January 22 against Unión Magdalena, on the field of the Palogrande stadium.
Trying to change the name of Once Caldas is already an affront to a human conglomerate that has offered all kinds of guarantees to the Antioqueño owners. It’s like changing the name to Monserrate in Bogotá. Run over to be rejected

The day that some political leaders from Manizales collaborated and did everything so that they sold the Once to Jaime Pineda, that day the worst evils were born for him @Once Caldas

We are decisively opposed to the press versions that would indicate that the owners of ONCE CALDAS would change the team’s name to ONCE DAF DE LA MONTAÑA. It would be a nonsense and an affront to the more than 6 thousand subscribers that the Club has. Respect our history.
