Jabari Smith Jr., a player trained at Auburn University, is beginning to win integers as a possible number one in the 2022 Draft, journalist Chad Ford reported.
The 18-year-old power forward is averaging 15.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his first college year, with an outstanding 43% on triples.
“Among all the teams that I have recently interviewed, he has become a great favorite for them,” said the aforementioned Ford. “Although Chet Holmgren of Gonzaga and Paolo Banchero of Duke also have quite a few endorsements for number one,” he added.
Holmgren is a 2.13 meter tall center who has great ball handling skills. In 17 NCAA games, he has figures of 13.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3.4 blocks per game, being the outstanding leader in this last facet.
For his part, Banchero is a prolific natural scorer for Seattle who is averaging with the Blue Devils 18.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists with 50% shooting from the field.
