JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – YouTuber Jerome Polin was reprimanded by the Indonesian car racer, Sean Gelael, after the tweet he wrote reaped the pros and cons.
Jerome Polin commented on an article about Mario Suryo Aji, an Indonesian racer who will compete in the Moto3 2022 event.
“Gilee is so cool! Are there Indonesian racers who race in international races?,” wrote Jerome on Twitter @JeromePolin, quoted Kompas.com, Wednesday (26/1/2022).

Shortly after, there were various pro and con comments from Twitter users.
Some think that Jerome Polin lacked research before writing the tweet.
While others support Jerome Polin because they think the YouTuber who is studying in Japan is just asking.
Shortly after the tweet was excited, Jerome Polin immediately contacted Sean Gelael, an Indonesian car racer via Instagram message (DM).
In that conversation, Jerome Polin tried to explain the meaning of the tweet he wrote to Sean Gelael.

Jerome Polin apologized if his tweet offended Sean and other racers.
“What I mean in that tweet is for motorcycle racing (continuing the one in the news link) without reducing respect for Sean and the other racers,” wrote Jerome Polin
Sean Gelael warned to be more careful considering Jerome Polin has a big influence on media platforms.

“But God willing, in the future as a person who is seen by many people and who has a large platform. Please be more careful and maybe give more motivation,” wrote Sean on the @gelaelized account.
Sean Gelael hopes the 23-year-old YouTuber doesn’t repeat the same thing.
For this warning, Jerome Polin admitted that he received a lot of advice so that in the future he will be more critical and do research before asking questions.
