Judo, golf, paddling, cycling, climbing – and then off to Japan

Schwerin – “The first impression is good,” says Felix Koslowski (32), head coach of the first division volleyball players at Schweriner SC, satisfied: His players have obviously kept fit over the summer and are in a good mood today for the official start of the season preparation started.

For the first time in years, the coach has the comfortable situation of having the team completely together for almost the entire time; only Lousi Souza Ziegler (until next week on home leave in Rio) and Sabrina Krause and Elisa Lohmann (preparation for the U19 European Championship) are currently still missing. “You can really do something there,” says Koslowski happily and has packed a decent program with his coaching staff: “The first two or three weeks are mainly about athletics and getting to know and get to know each other as a team.

We want to do a bike tour with the girls in the climbing forest, golf and rowing, among other things. On Sunday, September 4th, there is a first small tournament in Stralsund to get back into the game practice. In mid-September, the squad will fly to Japan for a training camp. “We’re invited to four teams in Osaka and Nagoya. These will be good games and conditions, we will be challenged, sportily and also through the other culture, ”Koslowski looks ahead.

“After that we still have three weeks until the first league game on October 23 in Potsdam.” During this time, there is a tournament in Poland, and guests in Schwerin are also being planned.

But the first thing to do is hit the mat this Wednesday: Judo is on the calendar for the volleyball players.
