Judo: The African Championships from May 26 to 29 in Oran – Horizons

The International Judo Federation (IJF) has approved the holding in 2022/01/grizzlies-vs-warriors-tip-prognosis-odds-01-12-2022/” title=”Grizzlies vs. Warriors tip, prognosis & odds 01/12/2022″>Oran of the 43rd edition of the African Championships (men / women) from May 26 to 29, 2022, according to the calendar of international competitions for the current year, published this Tuesday on the official website of this world sports body.
Scheduled at the “Mohamed-Benahmed” Convention Center, the event is also part of the experimental competitions (test-vents) in anticipation of the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games (JM) which will take place in Oran from June 25 to July 5, 2022. The next African Judo Championships will be preceded by a first edition of the same championships dedicated to veterans. It will also take place on the same site, namely, the Oran Convention Center which will be the scene of the events of no less than seven (7) sports disciplines during the JM.
The last African Judo Championships, organized by Algeria, date back to the beginning of 2000. It was the 22nd edition of this competition, hosted by the Harcha-Hacène hall (Algiers) between 9 and May 14, 2000, we recall. At the end of the tournament, Algeria had been crowned with 4 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze, ahead of Tunisia (3 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze), when Egypt had completed the podium, with 3 gold , 2 silver and 5 bronze.
