The Judo Top Tour had to pause in December and January due to the dynamic development of the corona numbers. After the successful start of the tour in Berlin with Grand Slam winner Dominic Ressel, the planned top training sessions in Brandenburg and the Palatinate had to be postponed. The new appointment follows.
Setting an example for the sport of judo
Despite the continuing tense corona situation, the German Judo Federation (DJB) and the state associations from the Rhineland and Saarland want to set an example for the sport of judo. Olympic bronze medalist Anna-Maria Wagner will pass on her skills to young judo talents in Bad Ems and Saarbrücken:
- February 26, 2022: Top tour in the Rhineland with Anna Maria Wagner – tender (Reporting deadline: 20.02.2022)
- 06.03.2022: Top-Tour im Saarland with Anna Maria Wagner – tender (Reporting deadline: 27.02.2022)
The first tour stop in 2022 is in Bad Ems. The city in the Rhineland is not only a spa town, but also part of the Unesco World Heritage Site. At the 26.02.2022 it will also become the judo capital! Anna-Maria Wagner will teach you her special techniques in a four-hour training session and give you valuable tips for the competition or the next training session. During the breaks there is time for questions, autographs and selfies.

Am 06.03.2022 That’s when it’s called “Hajime” at the Herman Neuberger Sportschule in Saarbrücken. In compliance with the corona rules, the world number one will ensure that all kids and young people work up a sweat.
Young judoka U15 and younger can participate. There is no participation fee, as the German Judo Federation (DJB) bears the costs for these events. All details about the event and registration can be found in the announcements.
Judo top tour continues
In addition to the first dates with Anna-Maria Wagner, further top tour stops are being planned. In Thuringia (03/27/2022) and Hamburg (04/09/2022) the dates have already been set and the implementation with the Olympic medal winners Dominic Ressel and Igor Wandtke is in full swing.
Alternative dates for Brandenburg, Hesse, Palatinate and Lower Saxony are currently being sought. As soon as the dates are fixed, the judo community will be informed via the DJB channels.
