‘Junho Jung Model’ EM Korea, MOU with Kookmin University to develop energy storage system

EME Korea (CEO Kim Hong-sik), whose exclusive model is actor Jung Jun-ho, joined hands with Kookmin University (President Lim Hong-jae) Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.

EM Korea announced on the 24th that it had signed an MOU to lay the foundation for the Hybrid Energy Storage System development project for the implementation of lightweight personal mobility battery packs at Kookmin University’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Building.

Noh Jeong-wook, a professor of convergence and electronic engineering major at Kookmin University, who led this project cooperation and head of the Energy IT Convergence Research Center, said, “This development project consists of a battery and a supercapacitor. It is a technology that can achieve reduction,” he said. “The technology is being actively researched at home and abroad in the field of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles, but research applied to personal mobility such as e-bikes is still at the basic stage. If we succeed in development through collaboration with EM Korea, we will be able to secure global competitiveness in the area of ​​battery weight reduction and preoccupy the global market,” he said.

EME Korea, which is involved in the development project, is a personal mobility company specializing in the manufacturing, R&D, distribution, and platform development of electric bicycles, electric kickboards, and electric scooters, which are personal transportation means using eco-friendly energy.

As a company specialized in export, it has acquired solidity through steady growth, and exhibited and promoted the first self-developed electric bicycle in Korea at ‘CES 2022 (International Electronics Fair)’, which was recently successfully completed, not only garnering a favorable response in overseas markets. It is a powerful company that is in the process of detailed negotiations to conclude a supply contract.

In addition, Jung Jun-ho, gymnast Yang Hak-seon, marathon runner Bong-ju Lee, and badminton player Lee Yong-dae are selected as PR ambassadors, and aggressive promotional marketing is being carried out.
