Kevin De Bruyne for the 2nd year in a row in the Team of the Year at the FIFA Awards | football

The Team of the Year, officially FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11, is once again bursting with stars, including a dazzling vanguard that includes Messi, Ronaldo, Haaland and Lewandowski.

Kevin De Bruyne got a place behind that quartet, in a midfield with Chelsea teammates Kante and Jorginho. Only 4 players were also part of the ideal eleven last year, which also included Ronaldo, Messi and Lewandowski in addition to De Bruyne.

De Bruyne thus equals the achievement of Eden Hazard, who was voted Team of the Year in both 2018 and 2019.

It was remarkable that Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was voted Player of the European Championship, is under the bar in this dream team, but that Edouard Mendy (Chelsea) was voted Goalkeeper of the Year. Mo Salah was again among the super nominees for Player of the Year, but that was not enough for a place in the World 11.
