The results of the night in the NBA
Celtics @ Pelicans : 107-97
Pacers @ Mavs : 105-132
Kings @ Sixers : 101-103
Raptors @ Heat: 124-120, after three overtimes
Wizards @ Grizzlies : 95-115
Nets @ Warriors : 106-110
Klay Thompson, a gentle rise to power
– Fred VanVleet didn’t come back from injury for nothing. After missing his team’s last two games, the Raptors point guard was decisive in the crazy match won by Toronto in Miami. It took three overtimes to determine a winner. Without VanVleet’s two 3-point baskets in the third overtime, we might still be playing on the South Beach side…
The triple-double of Jimmy Butler (37 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists) was not enough, nor was Gabe Vincent’s miraculous shot in the second overtime, canceled due to a timeout taken just before by his own coach Erik Spoelstra.
Gary Trent Jr (33 pts, 5 pds, 5 stls) continued on its beautiful dynamic.
– Klay Thompson (16 pts) returned his most clutch shot since returning from injury last night, when receiving the Nets. The back of Golden State allowed his team to take the air 12 seconds from the end on a shot of which he has the secret.
KLAY THOMPSON CLUTCH.

Kyrie Irving, who was playing without James Harden or Kevin Durant, did his best to keep Brooklyn in the game and finished with 32 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds.

– Ja Morant continued to celebrate his future All-Star Game tenure in style. The Grizzlies point guard led his team to an easy victory, the third in a row, against the Wizards. Author of 34 points (at 15/27), Morant signed a sixth game in a row with at least 30 points against a powerless Washington team.

Killian Tillie played 16 minutes off the bench for 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block.
– The Sixers clung to Joel Embiid to get out of the trap set by the Kings. Led by 10 points at the break, the players of Doc Rivers woke up in the wake of their superstar. Embiid had 36 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists, aided by Tyrese Maxey (13 pts, 7 wt), very sharp in the 4th quarter.
This is the 4th straight win for Philadelphia and the 17th straight game for Embiid with at least 25 points on the clock. The Sixers ruined the career night of Tyrese Haliburton, author of 38 points and 7 assists at 11/19.

– Boston picked up a third victory in four games, thanks in part to its tandem Jayson Tatum – Jaylen Brown. Their 69 cumulative points (38 for Tatum, 31 for Brown) allowed the Celtics to manage this trip to New Orleans with relative serenity, also acquired thanks to the good performance of Robert Williams III (8 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks).

– Luka Doncic (30 points, 12 assists) prevented Rick Carlisle from making a winning comeback in Dallas. The former Mavs coach, now at the head of the Pacers, could only see the difference in level between his current team and the old one. The reunion was still warm between Carlisle and his successor, Jason Kidd, whom he coached in the year of the title in 2011, but also with the entire franchise, which paid tribute to him.
